Our Medical Center location is:

  • 2421 Ayers Street in Corpus Christi at the corner of Ayers and Baldwin Streets.

Mission of Mercy provides free medical care for acute and chronic conditions through face to face appointments and through telemedicine appointments.  We also assist patients in acquiring prescription medications at little to no cost through the Medication Assistance Program.

Our patients depend on Mission of Mercy for ongoing treatment and prescription medications. We partner with Texas A&M University Health Science Center to provide medication assistance programs. Patients return for regularly scheduled appointments, allowing physicians to monitor their condition and provide access to prescription medications. Patients who require specialty care are referred to doctors in the community who provide no-cost or low-cost services to our patients.

Our professional volunteers and medical team members donate their time and skills.

Vision

If you would like to schedule an eye exam contact our Medical Center.

Mission of Mercy offers Vision Care to our current patients and new patients in our Vision Clinic located in our Medical Center.

Patients are checked for primary eye health, such as performing eye exams and vision tests, detecting vision problems and prescribing corrective treatments such as glasses, contact lenses, and medications.  The most common causes of blindness include cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, childhood blindness, infectious diseases and diabetic retinopathy.  Diabetes can cause damage to many parts of the eye, including the optic nerve, lens, macula, and retina.  To assist in detection of eye problems, we test the A1C levels of our patients.

Through our partnership with Layton Optical, Mission of Mercy patients can purchase glasses for a discounted fee.  We also provide free reader glasses for our patients (when available.)

To schedule an appointment please call the office at 361-883-5500. Our Medical Center is located at 2421 Ayers Street in Corpus Christi at the corner of Ayers and Baldwin.

Dental Health Class

Dental health is an important part of patient care. Our partnership with Del Mar College Dental Hygiene Program allows for their dental hygienist students to come to our Medical Center and education patients on everything from brushing, flossing to Xerostomia, Aging and Dental Health and more. Check out our calendar for days and topics. These classes are open to the public.

Diabetes Education and Management Class

Diabetes Self-Management Education Classes are important to the overall health of someone living with diabetes. Our partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Diabetes Education Program benefits our patients in many ways. Health educators teach what diabetes is, how to monitor blood glucose, proper nutrition, exercise, medications, goal setting and stress management. Classes are taught in English and Spanish.

Our partnership with H-E-B allows us to provide our patients with home Diabetes Management Kits that include an H-E-B insulated bag, a glucose monitor, testing strips, information about diabetes and a log to record reading and email back to our medical team.

Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Class

Mission of Mercy collaborates with other organizations such as Coastal Bend Food Bank to provide hands-on healthy cooking classes. Patients get a chance to learn about healthy food choices, try tasty recipes and learn about healthier choices when at the grocery store and eating out.
