Dr. Michael Juby

Volunteer Spotlight this month shines on Dr. Michael Juby, DO, a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and a dedicated Flight Surgeon at the Corpus Christi Army Depot.

Dr. Juby first learned about Mission of Mercy through his wife, a medical student at UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine, who completed a rotation at our Medical Center. Inspired by our mission, he went above and beyond to obtain a special medical license, allowing him to provide care for indigent patients in Texas—an effort that speaks volumes about his commitment to serving others.

Patients appreciate Dr. Juby for his calm and compassionate demeanor, and his dedication is evident in his nearly weekly volunteer work with Mission of Mercy. When asked what drives him to share his time and expertise, he humbly responded: “I truly believe we should give back to the community, even in the smallest of ways. Once my wife told me about Mission of Mercy, it seemed like the perfect place to do that.”
