There is this myth that we just treat colds and flus, but actually we see a good amount of chronic conditions and other pathology. There is such immediate reward after making a difference in a patient’s life, which has changed my life also.

The Mission of Mercy Story

First born of a whispered thought in 1991, Mission of Mercy medical clinics came to be through devout Catholic and Arizona native, Gianna Talone-Sullivan, who was also a practicing pharmacist.

Prescription Medication

One of the most expensive aspects of modern medicine is the high cost of prescription medications. MOM patients average two or more prescriptions per visit. These often lifesaving medications allow patients to maintain their health, continue to work and care for their families, and resume productive lives.

Dental

The link between oral health and body health is well documented and embraced within the medical profession, yet dental care is either unavailable or an unaffordable luxury for the individuals we serve.  Untreated dental infections can lead to illness or death. In addition to medical services, Mission of Mercy patients have access to top quality dental care, further contributing to their overall health and wellness.

Vision

Mission of Mercy offers Vision Care in select clinics. Especially for our diabetic patients, vision and eye care is critical as diabetes can cause damage to many parts of the eye, including the optic nerve, lens, macula, and retina. Diabetic retinopathy is one of the most common causes of blindness.

Mission of Mercy is happy to offer vision care as a specialty medical service and welcomes new partnerships with optometrists and ophthalmologists who may be interested in contributing their time and skills to our patients.

Health Education

Mission of Mercy is committed to educating our patients so that they are empowered to manage their own health. We know that patient empowerment is critical to long term health and stability. Our programs include diabetes, hypertension and dental health education.

Specialty Care

MOM’s medical clinics are over 90% volunteer run by licensed doctors and nurses. Our breadth and capacity to serve is reliant upon these valuable partnerships. We are always looking for new medical partners and specialists who are interested in serving in a high impact community medicine setting. Please consult each region for specific opportunities or reach out to the regional Executive Director.
