Volunteer Spotlight: Dr. Raymond Schneider

Dr. Raymond Schneider has been volunteering at Mission of Mercy’s Chandler clinic twice a month since September 2018. As a retired family practitioner, he appreciates that the clinic allows him the time to sit down and explain things to his patients without the many pressures of a traditional healthcare setting.

“I believe in the work of Mission of Mercy because people need quality care and it’s just not available anymore. The system is taking ‘care’ out of healthcare,” Dr. Schneider said. “This is something I enjoy doing and I feel like I’m helping.”

He was inspired to get involved with Mission of Mercy by his late mother in law, Maryann Meredith, who was a long-time volunteer at Mission of Mercy’s Mesa clinic. He adds, “She was a compassionate woman and spoke highly of her volunteer work there.”

When Dr. Schneider isn’t volunteering, you can catch him in action making beautiful stained glass masterpieces!
