1991 Founded by clinical pharmacist, Gianna Talone Sullivan, Pharm D.
1994 Became a 501(c)3 and headquartered in Pennsylvania while serving Maryland and Pennsylvania.
1997 Opened a facility in Arizona.
2005 Established a facility in Corpus Christi, assisted and coordinated by Bishop Edmond Carmody with three South Texas foundations.
2007 Hired the first Executive Director, Medical Director and Nursing Director. First clinic day was held in Corpus Christi on September 17, 2007. Five locations were implemented included Bishop, Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Orange Grove and Robstown. A 37-foot RV was converted into a medical clinic with 3 exam rooms, a pharmacy, and an office.
2009 Awarded “2009 Non-Profit of the Year” by Westside Business Association.
2010 Awarded $201,000 to purchase a new RV mobile clinic by Charity League of Corpus Christi.
2011 Purchased a new 40 ft. RV.
2012 Received the “John P. McGovern Champion of Health Award” from the TMA Foundation.
2014 Increased the medical team to 12 medical doctors with a total of 116 volunteers. Moved our clinic from Corpus Christi Metro Ministries to the Corpus Christi Police Officers’ Association.
2015 Implemented the “Momentum of Mercy Awards Banquet 2015”. Nominated for the Caller-Times Health Care Heroes “Community Outreach Award”.
2016 Held the Official Ground Breaking Ceremony to build a two story state-of-the-art Mission of Mercy Medical Center clinic and office facility. Implemented a new clinic site in Sandia, Texas. Purchased a small trailer to transport medical equipment and supplies. Implemented a themed signature fundraising event called “MASH BASH”.
2017 Began construction for the Mission of Mercy Medical Center. Consolidated the Orange Grove and Sandia clinics. Retired the 40 foot RV. Purchased a new truck to pull the small trailer. Celebrating our “10 Year Anniversary” on September 17, 2017.
