Mission of Mercy would not be able to provide no-cost medical care without collaboration from a wide range of community partners. These include an array of medical specialists, hospital and private laboratories, and pharmaceutical companies. During our most recently completed fiscal year, Mission of Mercy received an estimated $1 million in donated goods and in-kind services which include:

    • Americares: vaccines;
    • Amistad Community Health Center: We refer medical walk-in patients to them when we’re full, and they do the same with us. We refer patients who qualify for Medicare or Medicaid to them.
    • CHRISTUS Spohn Health System: lab services, Mobile CareVan; they refers uninsured patients from their hospitals, ERs and CareVan to us
    • Coastal Bend Wellness Foundation/St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston: Project ECHO Program for curing patients with hepatitis C;
    • Corpus Christi Metro Ministries/Gabbard Clinic: communicate and help one another as needed;
    • Corpus Christi Outpatient Surgery: free facility services for surgery
    • DARS (Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services): we refer patients for financial assistance with specialty care and services
    • Doctors Regional Medical Center: lab services; special procedures by radiology, surgical procedures, refer uninsured patients to us
    • Ecumenical Counseling Services: counseling;
    • Food Bank of Corpus Christi: on-site healthy cooking classes
    • HEB: on-site flu shots
    • Knolle Jersey Farms in Sandia: clinic site
    • Layton Optical: on-site assistance with glasses at a significant discount
    • Layton Optical: glasses;
    • Methodist Healthcare Ministries: We refer patients to them for surgery in San Antonio hospitals when local physicians are not available to provide care;
    • Methodist Healthcare Wesley Nurses: one on one and group on-site diabetes education, healthy cooking classes, assist with patient surgical referrals, securing flu vaccines
    • Private Specialty Physicians: nephrology, orthopedists, dermatology, OB/GYN, surgeons, etc
    • Radiology Associates: X-ray diagnostics for patients, special procedures
    • Radiology & Imaging: X-ray diagnostics for patients, special procedures
    • South Texas Family Clinic: refer patients for breast and cervical cancer screening, women’s health;
    • South Texas Surgical Hospital Hospital: free and discounted facility services for surgery
  • Texas A&M University: on-site lab- A1Cs, diabetes education, and nutrition education;
  • Texas A&M Ag extension assist the Wesley Nurses with healthy living/cooking classes
  • Texas Dental Mission of Mercy: dental care
  • Timon’s Ministries: They refer people to us when needed and we send patients to their free dental clinic
  • Walgreens: on-site flu shots
