Mission of Mercy relies on the generosity of individual donors, corporations, community groups, churches, and foundations to raise the $750,000 needed to provide our programs and services. We do not receive any state or federal government funding.  We strive to build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships with public and private agencies and community organizations who share our vision. Our staff and Leadership Council are financial contributors.  You can become a partner and make a difference by considering the following:

  • Donating your own personal financial gift (one time, monthly, quarterly, yearly, multi-year, etc.)
  • Donating a group gift, family gift, corporate gift, etc. (easier to make a larger gift if many people are donating)

Prospecting is the systematic acquisition of recording of data that forms the basis for establishing, maintaining, and expanding the long-term gift relationship, with the ultimate goal of converting donors into major gift donors.  You can assist Mission of Mercy by considering other people you know that might be interested in hearing about our mission, programs and services.

You never have to ask anyone for a financial gift!  You can help by coordinating a meeting with your prospect and the Mission of Mercy Executive Director.  In addition, you can invite the Mission of Mercy Executive Director to speak at your civic group, church, or other type of organization.


Thanks to our volunteer-based, physician-centered model of service, Mission of Mercy is able to treat large numbers of patients in a dignified and comprehensive manner with a small paid staff. All volunteer and paid physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners have an active license and are either already insured or covered through Mission of Mercy’s medical malpractice policy.

Mission of Mercy’s physician volunteers often sign up to work at the same  clinic  each  month,  allowing  for  development  of  a  strong doctor/patient  relationship.   In  addition  to  doctors,  physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurses, other volunteers include interpreters, registration workers, hospitality workers, drivers, and data entry personnel. Currently, 116 lay and professional volunteers donate time and services to Mission of Mercy patients.


ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL — REPORT FOR SURGERY at Mission of Mercy’s annual signature fundraising event called “MASH BASH 2019”. Enter the Infirmary on  Friday, March 1, 2019 at 6 pm.  Location to be announced.

This fun casual themed medical military event will include dinner, dancing, silent auction, bid board, photo opt, raffle, table decoration contest, costume contest, special games, awards, cash bar, fun decorations, and much more. Entertainment to be provided by Five Card Draw and the Sweet Adelines.

Casual Uniform Dress Code will include medical scrubs, military fatigues, nurse uniforms, camo, feather boas or have some fun and dress like your favorite character like “Hot Lips, Hawkeye, Klinger, etc.”

The “MISSION MOMENT” will allow guests to secure a naming opportunity for our Mission of Mercy Medical Center with a minimum $1,000 personal gift. With your support, this event will allow us to fulfill our mission of providing 92 clinic days, recording 4,000 patient visits, and assisting patients in acquiring prescription medications through our five mobile medical clinics in the Coastal Bend.  We are asking for your commitment and support to help reach our goal of $100,000 by sponsoring a table, purchasing tickets and/or donating an auction item. Table sponsorships start at $2,000 and tickets are $125 each.

Remember you can also win awards in our “Best Decorated Table Contest” and “Best Costume Contest”.
