Linda Ryan, a former member of Mission of Mercy’s national board has been named as the new Executive Director of the healthcare nonprofit organization’s Maryland/ Pennsylvania program. Ms. Ryan had served as Mission of Mercy’s Executive Director from 2006- 2009, at which time she resigned to care for her ailing elderly father.
“Having Ms. Ryan join us once again as Executive Director of the Maryland/Pennsylvania program is a blessing for our patients and the communities we serve,” noted Henry W. Konerko, PhD, CEO of Mission of Mercy (which also includes programs in Arizona and Texas).
“Ms. Ryan is the consummate professional who brings a great deal of experience and leadership to Mission of Mercy. She has dedicated her life to serving others, and will represent us well in our mission to heal through Love and provide dignity and respect to those we serve,” added Dr. Konerko.
Jennifer Charlton, who had served as Executive Director since 2012, announced her departure in July, 2015.
Ms. Ryan is a nonprofit consultant and has also served as Executive Director for Change, Inc, which serves disabled people, Hope Alive (which served homeless women and children), and Operation Smile (which provides medical care). She will begin her responsibilities with Mission of Mercy on November 2, 2015.
“I’m humbled and honored to again serve with Mission of Mercy; it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly. I’m very excited about creating additional community partnerships and initiatives that will grow our services – especially dental care,” added Ms. Ryan.
