Malpractice Insurance for Volunteers
Many of the healthcare providers that volunteer at Mission of Mercy have private malpractice insurance that will cover their volunteer activities. However, some volunteers either do not have private malpractice insurance (recently retired), or their policy only covers their employment (such as at a hospital or US Government). For these professionals, Mission of Mercy has a malpractice insurance policy that covers their volunteer services at Mission of Mercy.
Referral Specialists
Collaborative efforts enable our patients to receive greater comprehensive medical care. If a patient needs specialized care, Mission of Mercy seeks to locate a specialist physician who will volunteer to care for that patient free-of-charge in his or her office. We are currently seeking specialists willing to accept 1-2 referrals a month.
Cardiologist, Endodontist, Oral Surgeon, Optometry, Podiatry, OB-GYN,
Gastroenterologist, Psychiatrist, Chiropractic, Dermatology
If you are interested in providing 1-2 referrals a month in your private office, please contact the Medical Director for the Texas Clinics, Dr. Coleen Madigan at cmadigan@aMissionofMercy.org or you may contact the Executive Director, Patty Clark at 361-446-0202.
