One of the most expensive aspects of modern medicine is the high cost of prescription medications. The free ongoing prescriptions we provide our patients enable them to maintain their health, thus, allowing them to return to work, care for their family, or resume school. Mission of Mercy’s formulary contains over 225 types of prescription medications. Our patients receive their free medications on premises immediately after clinic treatment. Currently, over 70% of our patients have some form of chronic illness. Upon diagnosing a chronic condition, we schedule regular appointments at the clinic so we can effectively monitor their condition and continue to provide necessary medication. It is common for us to see a chronically ill patient every few months. Additionally, we are the most aggressive organization of our kind when it comes to receiving free prescription medications through the pharmaceutical companies’ indigent drug program.
*Mission of Mercy dispenses free prescription medications only to patients treated at our clinics. We are not a general dispensing pharmacy and therefore can not fill prescriptions written by a private doctor that is not a volunteer for Mission of Mercy.
