The Frederick Woman's Civic Club will host its 51st Annual Mardi Gras Ball on Feb. 25, 2012, at the FSK Holiday Inn and Conference Center inFrederick. This year's theme is Bourbon Street Blast and it will indeed be a blast! Costumes are encouraged as well as Black Tie, Business Attire or Military Uniform for gentlemen and semi-formal attire for ladies. This year Mission of Mercy will benefit from some of the proceeds. SPECIAL EVENTS:
Each year, Mission of Mercy benefits from numerous special events and activities held throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania. They range from Mission of Mercy-hosted events such as our annual Gala and golf classics to volunteer-sponsored events like walk/runs and dinner parties. Although these events differ in size and scope, the funds raised through these special events are critical to our ability to restore dignity to the poor and needy in our local communities. Monies earned through these events aide Mission of Mercy in purchasing medical and dental supplies and providing the uninsured working poor and economically disadvantaged with free medical care by physicians, receive referrals for specialty care, prescription medications, and diagnostic, lab and x-ray services.
