Position: Bi-Linqual Interpreter – The “Heart and Voice” of Mission of Mercy Mobile Medical Clinic
As part of the hospitality team at Mission of Mercy you represent the link between the patient and the Mission of Mercy medical staff and volunteers. Your skill in putting the patient at ease by using a shared language to explain, inquire and discuss all of the issues around their patient visit is essential for the success of their experience with Mission of Mercy and Mission of Mercy’s success in treating them and in restoring their dignity.
Duties:
- Assist registration volunteers with communication about patient check in, Mission of Mercy procedures, patient registration forms etc.
- Provide general patient communication support in each area where the patient interacts with clinic personnel
Position: Triage/Patient Evaluation – The “Heart and Hands” of Mission of Mercy Mobile Medical Clinic
As part of the triage and nursing team at Mission of Mercy you are the first contact our patients have to discuss what brought them to our clinic. Your respectful interaction with the patient continues the process of restoring dignity to our patients -- an important part of our mission of healing through Love.
Duties:
- Obtain patient file from registration desk personnel
- Call patient from waiting area to the table triage area
- Conduct an assessment of the patient to include recording of vital signs, history of illness, injury and mental status.
Position: Registration & Hospitality Worker -- The “ Heart and Face” of Mission of Mercy Mobile Medical Clinic
As part of the registration & hospitality team at Mission of Mercy you represent the face & first impression for our patients. Patients (many with family members in tow) have waited in the heat and/or cold for the clinic to open. A welcoming face & warm greeting will begin a positive patient experience & supports our mission of restoring dignity & healing through Love.
Registration: Duties
This position is responsible for greeting and checking-in patients at the registration desk, accessing patient files when patients check in, assisting new patients with required paperwork, assisting patients who only need prescription refills and making follow-up appointments for patients as necessary.
Position: Patient Data Entry/Computer Operator Volunteer – The “Heart and Hands” of Mission of Mercy Mobile Medical Clinic
As part of the logistics team at Mission of Mercy you will interact with both clinic staff and volunteers. Although you do not have direct patient contact in this position you do handle patient files and patient data. Your respect towards the confidential patient data supports our overall mission of restoring dignity and healing through Love.
Duties:
The position of Patient Data Entry volunteer is responsible for inputting confidential patient information into the clinic database – including new patient records and diagnoses and treatment information for all patients at the clinic site. State of the Art laptop computers are provided for this function.
